Marv Stern is a partner at Stern, Shapray Criminal Lawyers and has been practising Criminal Law for over 40 years. He worked as Crown Counsel for 7 years before establishing his own firm in Surrey in 1997 specializing in Criminal Law.
He has supervised many Articling Students over the years and is currently involved as a mentor in the CBA mentorship program. Marv has recently been certified as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach as of June, 2023. He has been actively coaching lawyers on a variety of issues including work-life balance, practice management and career transitions. He has been an active volunteer at LAPBC.
Over the years he has been a speaker at many CLE sessions on Criminal Law issues. He participated in the Justice Education Program training Judges and Lawyers in Ethiopia on Oral Advocacy on three separate occasions.
He sees this time in his career as a time to focus on giving back to the Legal Community by providing guidance through his Coaching Practice.
