It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Laurie Stewart passed away peacefully last week. Laurie was a dedicated and integral member of the Lawyers Assistance Program. She was, for many years, the Office Manager of LAPBC and was responsible for welcoming clients and for keeping us all organized. She was a special kind of person and we will miss her greatly.
Laurie’s warmth and kindness helped countless people get the help they needed through LAPBC and we trust that is how she would like to be remembered. We can celebrate and honour Laurie by carrying this kindness forward, especially in these difficult times. Laurie was always able to see past troubles and circumstances and connect with people’s hearts; she chose to focus on the light not the darkness.
