Sam joined LAPBC as an Associate Director in 2020 and is committed to making a positive contribution to his colleagues in the legal community. Sam practiced law as an articling student, associate and partner for over seventeen years in both large and mid-sized firms. His practice was wide ranging and he served large public and private companies, societies, trusts and individuals. Sam has broad experience in many of the professional and personal challenges facing members of the legal community today.
Sam has expanded his knowledge and skills through several counselling and personal growth courses, including the VCC Foundational Counselling Skills Program, and he's certified as a Recovery Coach through the CCAR.
Sam leads a busy and balanced life, and he is passionate about connection and the community. Sam regularly volunteers with several non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the community and serves on the board of directors of the North Vancouver Football Club and its over 10,000 members. At home, he is busy with two active sons, an understanding partner and a less understanding dog.
