Options for Lawyers: Effective Goal Setting

CPD Approved for 1.25 Hours

When:  Wednesday, January 15th, 2020
LAPBC Vancouver office – #415-1080 Mainland St., Vancouver, BC
12:15-1:30 PM

Many people set goals in the New Year and often, by the third week in January, some or all of them have been abandoned. In this workshop, we will learn methods of goal setting that will greatly increase the probability of successful completion. There are easy, time-tested ways of formulating, recording and following up goals that will get results when combined with desire, focus, and understanding how you use your energy. Move your practice forward and prepare more effectively. Goals are a measurable, written, time-bound statement and a concrete step towards the realization of a particular outcome.

Options for Lawyers is a networking, education and support group for lawyers making job or career transitions and for lawyers wishing to examine their options both personally and professionally.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM in Vancouver at the LAP office, 1080 Mainland Street, Suite 415.

This workshop will be facilitated by Susan Burak, B.A., J.D., M.A., R.C.C. who is an Associate Director and Counsellor for the Lawyers Assistance Program. Susan has practised law for over 25 years, taught both locally and internationally. She has successfully helped many Lawyers achieve personal growth and deal with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and life and career transitions.
