Most lawyers are introverts, whereas the majority of the general population are extroverts. This can sometimes create problems since our culture values and rewards the qualities of extroverts. Also, some lawyers try to fit the client’s stereotype of the ideal lawyer, which is often extroverted, loud, opinionated and competitive. When lawyers are not like that, they may become self-critical or self-doubting. This workshop is about seeing the values of both introverts and extroverts, and learning how to capitalize on your personality style in order to become a better lawyer.
This workshop will be facilitated by Bena W. Stock., LL.B., M.C., R.C.C. Bena is an Associate Director and Counsellor for the Lawyers Assistance Program.
Bena practised law for 24 years and has helped many lawyers through difficult situations, career transitions, and dealing with anxiety, depression and trauma.
